Four new GrITS PlugIns released

July 31, 2006

Data South Systems, Inc. announces the release of four new graphic conversion PlugIns to GrITS for ProcessBook™: Emerson DeltaV, Emerson Ovation, Intellution iFIX and Wonderware InTouch graphics. These new conversion PlugIns are the latest in a line of DCS and SCADA graphics conversion tools that provide Operational Visibility using PI ProcessBook® and RtWebParts™.

GrITS for ProcessBook is a graphics conversion tool that quickly creates mimics of DCS and SCADA displays in PI ProcessBook and RtWebParts, complete with DCS to PI tag mapping and display navigation links. Plant managers and engineers can remotely monitor and analyze the process using familiar operator display formats in ProcessBook without leaving their desks or interfering with operators in the control room. These converted operator graphics can be accessed via a standard Web Browser and RtWebParts, OSIsoft's Web-based graphical environment, using the native support of SVG files in GrITS for ProcessBook. Standard ProcessBook and RtWebParts functionality (historical playback, ad-hoc trend building, etc.) is available for performing process analysis using these converted displays.
